Tic-Tac-Toe

Classic Three-by-Three Tic-Tac-Toe. You and the computer take turns placing the cross or circle into the space; the side that first connects the cross, vertical, or diagonal lines into three wins.

How to play

  1. 01

    Start

The X-side goes first. You can choose to hold the X-side or Zhi-Circle, and select four levels: Easy, Normal, Hard, or Very Hard.

  2. 02

    Place a piece

Place your symbol in a space on the nine-grid each turn. Squares with crosses or circles cannot be placed repeatedly.

  3. 03

    The three are connected

Among the horizontal, vertical, or two diagonal lines, the first to connect your three symbols into a line wins.

These rules match the version played on this site.

Winning and losing

  • If a cross or circle is formed three times on any of the horizontal, vertical, or diagonal lines, that side wins.
  • All nine squares are filled, and neither side forms three in a row, so it's considered a draw.
