Minesweeper

Classic single-player minesweeper. Open the safety square, deduce the location of the eight surrounding mines based on the numbers, and open all the safety squares without stepping on the mine.

How to play

  1. 01

    Select difficulty

Simple is 9 columns× 9 rows, 10 thunders; Medium is 16 columns× 16 rows, 40 thunders; Hard is 16 columns× 30 rows, 99 thunders, using a narrower, taller board. The first click and the eight squares around it guarantee no thunders.

  2. 02

    Flipping frames and flag placement

Click the grid to flip open. The number indicates the number of mines in the surrounding eight squares; The blank square will automatically expand. Right-click, long press on your phone, or switch to flag placement mode and then tap to plant or cancel the flag.

  3. 03

    Consecutive openings

If a corresponding number of flags are inserted around a flipped number, clicking that number will open the remaining adjacent cells at once. If the flag is inserted incorrectly, you may still step on a landmine.

These rules match the version played on this site.

Winning and losing

  • Open all non-Thunder squares to win.
  • If you step on a landmine, the game ends.
