Jump · Double Chinese Checkers

Chinese Checkers

Two-player Chinese Checkers, each side has ten pieces on both red and blue sides. Pieces do not capture each other; the goal is to use continuous jumping to quickly send all pieces into the opponent's triangle formation.

How to play

  1. 01

    Start

Red side goes first. Ten pieces from both sides are placed in triangle formations at the upper and lower ends of the hexagram.

  2. 02

    Move adjacent to each other

Only one piece moves per turn. A piece can move to an adjacent empty hole, and after moving that space, the turn ends.

  3. 03

    Continuous jump

Pieces can jump into the empty space behind an adjacent piece; the pieces that have been jumped over will not be captured. If the landing spot can continue jumping, you can jump consecutively in the same turn.

  4. 04

    Enter the target camp

Once a piece enters the opponent's target camp, it cannot move out. The program will display all possible destinations for the current piece; clicking the endpoint completes the entire jump.

These rules match the version played on this site.

Winning and losing

  • First, move all ten of your pieces into the opposing side and win.
  • When it is a player's turn but no legal move is made, that side fails.
  • If a game exceeds 200 turns or repeats three times, the program will judge it as a draw.
